The Front was formed from a couple of local Miami
based bands.
Greg Mclaughlin and Larry Hill emerged from Tar
& the Nicotines
Randy Rush, Steve Myers, and Flynn Picardal from
The Probes.
The Front's very first major
gig was opening up for ULTRAVOX.
With their then manager Warren Tepper they went
on a 3 year spree of playing everywhere they could
at both high level and low level gigs.
All along truely
developing a unique punk / new wave / F U !!!!
sort of style.. all their own.

The Front went on to open up for a number of
major label acts in their short 3 year period
on the radar screen. In that time they developed
a cult following and were on the way to emerging
as a force to be reckoned with but as John Lennon
said "Life is what happens to you while you
are busy making other plans". |
| So
here is the first installment of a band
that should have made it all the way. |
|
|
In their short lifespan
as a viable act they opened for many established
bands.
A few of them were U2, The Psychedelic Furs,
The Go Go's, Bow Wow Wow, The Missing Persons,
Ultravox, The Vapors (turning Japanese)
to name a few. |

This
record is a tribute to the Late Randy Rush
(lead guitarist-co-composer)
Passed away in April of 2000. |

|
However there just might be a new Front record
on the horizon
one never knows.
So we release this 1st record
as the essence of The Front, a tribute to Randy's
talents .
As
Randy used to say a lot
"Lets Go Bongo
Fury"
And for all his life he did just that
.
Hope You Enjoy.
